Coastal Construction, Wetland, and Surface Water Permitting:

Ocean One Condominium, Miami Beach
EDC provides complete permit processing services for construction projects located along Florida's oceanfront.  EDC has extensive experience in working with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) in acquiring Coastal Construction Control Line (CCCL) and Marine Turtle Lighting permits.

EDC utilizes the same numerical modeling and methodology as performed by the State (FDEP) in establishing the extent of the 100-year storm erosion and wave crest elevation at specific sites, thus offering consistency with the State's evaluation.

Services can additionally be extended to include the coastal engineering aspects of the structural design of habitable structures subject to a 100-year storm event, such as wave impact forces on shearwalls, piles, and slabs within the zone of wave breaking.

Pile-Driving Operation, Ft. LauderdaleEDC also provides permitting and engineering services for marinas and dredge & fill projects related to upland development.  EDC provides the engineering and scientific expertise necessary to obtain permits from the regulatory agencies, such as the FDEP, SFWMD, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Required regulatory information such as physical and environmental field studies (tidal flows and water quality), surveying, and modeling are performed in house to provide a quick and proactive response to regulatory concerns.
